JOB DESCRIPTION: YOUTH DIRECTOR
The Youth Director will provide leadership for regular middle school and high school Bible study, discipleship, praise/worship, evangelism, missions education, missions involvement, and fellowship events in a safe (physically and emotionally) and engaging environment. This part time position requires a Wednesday evening and Sunday morning schedule.
Qualifications
1. The Youth Director shall be a born-again believer.
2. The person shall be a member of an evangelical church, in agreement with the Church Covenant and Statement of Faith of First Baptist Church of Niota.
3. The person shall have a genuine commitment to the gospel ministry and a sense of divine call to the ministry of youth.
4.This person must have the ability to plan, organize, direct and lead.
Responsibilities
1. Serve and support the vision and mission of the church.
2. Leadership
a. Coordinate and lead Youth Sunday School and Wednesday night youth programming and/or other youth activities.
b. Plan, implement, and attend youth summer activities, retreats, mission activities, fundraisers and/or other church sanctioned youth events.
3. Additional Duties as Assigned by the Senior Pastor
4. The Youth Director shall:
a. Be under the direct supervision of and report directly to the Senior Pastor
b. Assist Pastoral Team with ministry care.
c. Work in close cooperation with leadership teams and other members of the church staff
d. Collaborate with the Pastoral Team in making First Baptist Church of Niota a friendly and welcoming place for youth and their families.
Compensation
1. Compensation shall be set by the church upon recommendation of the Finance Committee
